The company that successfully brought the Jamaican singing-sisters Brick & Lace last year, has signed a deal with Tutala Makoma, a member of the popular Makoma Band to have celebrated singer Koffi Olomidde and the Makoma Band stage a concert here in mid November.
UK-based Tutala last week signed a memorandum of understanding with the company managers. |
Among other plans, Tutala will bring more international and African stars to Uganda . Tutala owns the West Coast UK music label that owns the copy rights of Natalie Makoma, the lead singer in the Makoma Band. He said Ugandan artistes have an opportunity to shine on the international music scene. “Everything is possible where there is talent. Congolese artistes also once thought that there was no music beyond their homeland but ever since they crossed to France and other African countries, everything has changed,” he said.
