RAJOELINA'S GIG BEING CALLED OFF

By Jerry Nguwa

Since the unconstitutional rise to power of the youthful former Disc Jokey, Andry Rajoelina in Madagascar , supporters of the immediate former president Marc Ravalomanana have been demonstrating against the new regime.

The most important of all the demonstrations happened on Monday 23 rd march and Tuesday 24 th march. Tens of thousands of people went down the street to protest against the coup that took place and ousted the marc Ravalomanana from power.

Madagascar is known for its kind of ousting leaders in power with the support of the mass. Marc Ravalomanana himself came to power with the support of the mass.

The ascension of Andry Rajoelina has been denounced by many. The African Union has already suspended Madagascar from its sittings even though it means nothing. SADC a southern African region country organisation has also condemned the coup. Is Andry Rajoelina going to drink the same dose he administered to marc Ravalomanana?

Yesterday, reports that reached hapamedia's news room indicated that the immediate former President of Madagascar who is also a wealthy business has been given asylum in Swaziland by King Mswati. Unconfirmed sources are stating that Ravalomanana had strike a deal with the current regime to step down and be assured asylum abroad.

Marc Ravalomanana has been accused of ruling Madagascar as his own company. All started when he closed an opposition radio station. The then Mayor of Antananarivo took the opportunity to mount masses against the President who also owned radio station to burn down government radio stations.

Ravalomanana has built his business empire from humble beginning when he used to sell dairy products on a bicycle.

Is the incumbent, Andry Rajoelina going to call off the gig he has promised to malgaches?
