By Jerry Nguwa

Uganda is the kind of countries that will expel their own citizens for the sake of protecting investors and their assets.

An investment advisor to President Museveni cum businessman, Mr. Patrick Bitature has warned on the danger of accommodating professional security guards without formal employment in the country.

Bitature who is also the Chairman of the Uganda Investment Authority is concerned with the wave of returning Ugandan guards who have served in Iraq . He fears that, if not given meaningful employment the country might experience the most daring robberies in the country.

Uganda is one country where international security companies have recruited extensively. Ugandan serving in iraq are estimated at 20.000. Some of those employed in the wore tore country have invested in enormously in their motherland. But President Obama's plan of withdrawing US troops from Iraq will also see most of western companies leaving the country for fear of being targeted by Iraqi extremists. This move will also see Ugandans working for those companies return home.

The Ugandan government through the information Minister Kabakumba Matsiko said there was no special arrangements to accommodate the guards upon return. The minister also added that these people went on private arrangement and they should look for jobs like any other person in the country.
