UN staff's spouses donate hospital equipement

Believed to be the highest paid working class in the town, the Arusha based UN staffs have always been involved in charity activities.

Believed to be the people behind the success of their husbands, woman spouses of the UN staff created an association to level up the living standard of women and children in Arusha and its environs.

The women mostly drawn from the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda 's staff have pledged to leave a positive mark before the end of the mandate given to the tribunal. They are committed to raise fund for the less fortunate and renovates the Mount Meru hospital in Arusha.

Saturday 14 th march of this year saw them donating equipments worth 5000 USD five thousands American dollars. The donation proceeded another one last November when they donated another lot of medical equipment worth 7000 USD.

The management of the hospital praised the association's move and promised to use the equipments accordingly.
