Former Cameroonian goalkeeper Thomas Nkono has been assigned to take charge of the Indomitable Lions after last week resignation of German Otto Pfister Hapamedia can now report.

According to AFP, the Cameroonian ministry of sports spokesperson, Linus Pascal Fouda confirmed the news by adding that the National Team needs someone to steer it.
The state radio later affirmed that Nkono has the responsibility proper training for the world cup qualifiers match ahead after they are opening match defeat of 1-0 to the Togolese national elevens. |

They Cameroonian side is currently in camp in Belgium in anticipation of their clash with Morocco on Sunday June 7.
Otto Pfister resigned following the sacking of his assistant and the creation of multiple assistant coach slot rendering obsolete in decision making over the team.
Thomas Nkono who was among the players that represented Cameroon to the 1982 and 1990 world cups, was until his promotion the goalkeeper's coach.
