In Sharm El Sheick for the 27th United Nations Climate Conference, representing the Head of State, the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde received a team from Wildlife Works Carbon LLC operating in the DRC under the name Ecosystem Restoration Associate, ERA Congo a full profit company.
WWC represented by its founder, Mike Korchinsky and the Director General of ERA Congo, Professor Jean-Robert Bwankoy presented to the Prime Minister the activities of this company specialized in the sale of carbon credit for the financing of forest conservation in the perspective of the REDD+ initiative (Reducing Emissions Due to Deforestation).
The exchange also revolved around the Mai-Ndombe project and the possibility of expansion in other provinces like North and South Ubangi, Tshopo, Mongala and Equator as explained by Professor Jean-Robert Bwankoy .
We took stock of our activities since 2011 at the signing of our contract until today… We also talked about the profits that we are paying for the government in the context of the sales of the credits that we have just achieved .

The Prime Minister received our project with great enthusiasm and he promised that we could meet again in Kinshasa to discuss the issue in more detail. It’s true that it’s a new field and one that is very promising in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
