Answering to its core mission of facilitating transport of transit through the central corridor, the Executive Secretary of the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency, CCTTFA, Senior Counsel Flory Okandju Okonge traveled to Bujumbura in Burundi on official duty last Thursday, February 9, 2023.
The CCTTFA boss, Flory Okandju began his mission by paying a courtesy call to his predecessor at the CCTTFA and current Minister of Infrastructure in Burundi, Captain Dieudonné Dukundane and to Mrs. Marie-Chantal Nijimbere, Burundian Minister of Transport where they discussed the progress made during the implementation of the Central Corridor Business Plan.

Signature, inspection and community works
In order to carry out its 2022/2023 business plan, the AFTTCC through its Executive Secretary has signed a financing contract for the feasibility studies of the related works of the Kayagoro – Buhema road with the Managing Director of the Road Agency of Burundi, ARB, Dr. Ir. Regis Mpawenayo and the Consultant on site. Senior Counsel Flory Okandju also visited the rehabilitation works of the RN 3 linking Burundi -Tanzania- DRC-Rwanda. The work is 35% complete in a record period of 8 months.

In order to make the most of his trip, the Executive Secretary Flory Okandju joined the Prime Minister of Burundi, Gervais Ndirakobuca in the execution of community works. The Minister of Infrastructure, Dieudonné Dukundane and the Mayor of Bujumbura, Jimmy Nduwimana were present.
